Almag Group from the 50's

The company Almag Group is the continuation of the company TIMBER TRADE which started in early 60's in Cairo- Egypt as one of the only 4 wood traders in all Egypt.

Egypt is still and was always an importer of raw wood beside other kinds of industrial and treated wood.

Almag started, as the first private company, importing wood to Egypt under the name "TIMBER IMPORT".

Almag was a sole agent for several sawmills in different places in the globe. Almag had suppliers from scandinevian countries till Oregon in USA. Such as Hasselfors AB in Sweden and International Forestry in Oregon USA.

Almag was also a partner of some important construction buildings such as the Nile Tower in cooperation with HIGGS & HILL of England and also the construction of the facility of SQUIB EGYPT in cooperation with a south Corean Construction company.

Since 1993, we started a representative office of Almag International in Belgium. Since 2004 we started EGYBEL bv our daughter company in Belgium, nowadays EGYBEL BELGIUM NV.
